tdy gera was being very kind. she gave $5 to a retarded (i couldn't find another word to put it) school kid. it all happened on the Ang Mo Kio MRT platform.
this kid sat next to me and asked all stuttering if i spoke mandarin in very broken english. then he started to ask me if i saw him cry at the other end of the platform, which i onli got what he was trying to ask after like 4 times? then he began his story of him being late for school, ran and dropped his $10 that his mom told him to top up his Ez-Link card and has no money now.. blah blah. i felt for him, but i offered $5 instead. he was like "huh~" but accepted it when i told him it's better than nothing. haa. it doesn't end here.
after he got his $5 he started to ask stupid and weird qns. like where do i stay and if i have a boyfriend. the climax was this.
in mandarin: jiejie, if you don't have a boyfriend, would u marry me?

i changed the topic to where he was going. he said bugis. then i told him he should take to CityHall then change 1 stop. but he insisted that the MRT personnel told him that he should take to JurongEast and from there it onli takes 5 mins to Bugis. ya right. it's either that the uncle u asked is trying to kid you or you're just plain dumb. sigh.
after the whole incident, i conclude that he is either NOT a problematic kid but acts damn well, or that he is really TAT problematic. =.=
oh wells. and u can say that i'm either being kind or gullible.

it's pretty nice to work there (banqueting deparment) ^^ i've always talked about how M Hotel is very nice to work in and all, but trust me, SCC is even better.lol. my manager takes great care of our welfare, so does uncle frankie (our supervisor). he even gave me the nick name "Hello Kitty" and Catrina "Popeye's Wife", aka "Olive". lol. he's very "gam" with me and we crap and poke fun at each other all day long. he helps everybody with their job (when it's soooo slack already). i seriously dun mind going there to work again (:
